This year we’ve seen much more interaction and more activity happening between ISSW and Prolifics, and we’re very happy about that! We’ve worked together on a couple of initiatives this year to generate new Lab Services opportunities, and we continue to provide resources to ISSW as needed. Keep in mind that Prolifics is willing to invest in pre-sales activities with you to help close lab services business. We have strong architects across a wide range of technology areas like ODM, BPM, DataPower and IIB and can leverage these resources for customer calls and meetings, and they can help develop SOWs too.
Many of you that have worked with Prolifics in the past, knew us as THE partner for WAS migrations. Well we still do that! We’d love to work with you on WAS version-to-version migrations or WAS migrations from competitor platforms like WebLogic. See below for more info on WAS migrations we’ve recently partnered on with ISSW.
We have a planning session coming up next month with ISSW leadership where we’ll talk about how we can work better together and discuss some ideas for new initiatives to generate business together and help our customers reach their goals. New BPM Practice Leader
Salem Hadim has just been appointed as Director of Prolifics’ BPM practice. Salem has been with us for over 9 years and has been an outstanding contributor in the roles he has held during his time with us. He is well-equipped to lead our BPM practice as it continues to exceed our customer’s expectations as we execute BPM projects.
Healthcare Focus
In our quest to continue to expand the depth and breadth of our expertise and increase the value we bring to our customers, we are pleased to introduce Alan Shemelya, our VP of Healthcare Business Development. Alan brings over 30 years’ experience and thought leadership in the healthcare industry. While Alan can’t help you discuss ODM or BPM technology or implementation with a customer, he understands their business at a much deeper level and can have a conversation on a level that most of us never could. So if you’re working with a healthcare customer that is looking to implement BPM or ODM, and could use some insight on exactly what the customer needs to do, let me know so we can leverage Alan’s knowledge to help us ensure that we’re addressing all the customer’s requirements. Trust me, this guy is impressive!

Of course Prolifics regularly provides ISSW with technical consultants on a staff augmentation basis, but did you know that we also partner with ISSW to generate new opportunities and will provide pre-sales resources to help close services deals? Read below about two examples of Prolifics and ISSW partnering:
State of Texas, CPA
The ISSW and Prolifics teams worked jointly to help the customer with the best approach to migrate over 150 WAS 6.1 applications to version 8.5. Our teams worked together every step of the way from conducting a workshop with the customer to address a variety of migration-related items, to completing a migration assessment to analyze a set of applications and determine the overall migration effort, then on to migrating a set of applications and helping establish the processes and skills needed for the customer to complete the rest of the migration work themselves. The sales effort was led by Roger Hopkins at ISSW, working closely with the Prolifics Lab Services rep, Debbie Marcet. The project delivery effort was led by Keith Haas at ISSW, working with Debbie at Prolifics; and the project itself was executed using a team consisting of 3 IBM consultants along with 7 Prolifics consultants. This customer was extremely happy with the results and is now well positioned to get the remaining applications migrated, something they had literally been trying to do for years!
United Airlines
ISSW and Prolifics have teamed up again to help United Airlines (UAL) migrate a large number of WebLogic applications to WAS. Our teams worked together to help the customer with an approach to the first phase of the migration, and the project kicked off this week where we are currently finalizing the approach and will begin migrating some sample applications next week. |
